N Chandra to direct film on Abu Salem

Sarla Saraogi, wife of Abu Salem’s lawyer Ashok Saraogi, has chosen N Chandra to direct the film on the gangster. Sarla is the film’s producer.Family friendChandra, who has previously directed Ankush, Style and Kagaar, told MiD DAY yesterday that the Saraogis and he were working on the script, which will soon be ready.Chandra is a family friend of the Saraogis. He said, “I know them very well. They said they wanted someone who has a penchant for reality cinema. They narrated what they wanted. I loved the idea of doing a film like this, and immediately agreed.”Salman Khan?According to the grapevine, Salman Khan will play Abu Salem. Chandra said, “We may have a big name. I always read the script before finalising the cast.” He added that the fact that the Saraogis know the don very well would be a bonus. “When you make a reality film, it should be extremely authentic.
